Who keeps the site running
A few independent people maintain dumpor.org, with no parent company above them. The site is not linked to Instagram or Meta in any way, and neither of them reviews these pages. Any question can be sent to contact@dumpor.org.
What it is for
Most visits have an ordinary reason behind them. Someone checks a bakery before ordering a cake, reads a gig poster on a band’s page, or wants to see a friend-of-a-friend’s story without showing up in that person’s list of viewers. Dumpor handles exactly that. Type a handle and the page brings up the profile header, the day’s stories, highlights pinned by the owner, reels, the post grid, and the two lists of accounts behind the follower numbers, each photo or video with its own download arrow.
Every result describes the account at the second of the search. Nothing is tracked over time, so there are no charts of growth and no archive of old numbers.
Things Dumpor will not do
- Open what a private account reserves for its followers. Dumpor goes no further than the name-and-bio card, flagged Private, tabs locked; its owner picked the audience, and Dumpor keeps to that choice.
- Request a password, for Instagram or for anything else.
- Remember whose profile was looked at, by you or by anybody.
- Keep copies of media that passes through the page.
- Bring back a story whose day has ended or a post its author took down.
What happens when you press View
A press of View sends the browser’s request to our server. From there it goes on to an independent data provider. That provider collects the profile’s public side from Instagram and returns it, and the page arranges the result. Many images and clips then travel to you directly, from the hosts where Instagram keeps media. Which outside services take part, and what each of them learns, is set out on our privacy page.
