Taking content down, and DMCA claims

Text dated

No stored copies, nothing to delete

Dumpor holds no Instagram media at all. Every search requests the open profile live and shows it on screen; once you navigate away, no image or clip stays with us. There is also no blocklist for single handles or posts, so the site cannot honour a request to hide one account.

The way content leaves this page

When something changes on Instagram, this viewer reflects it too, at most an hour later.

  • If the account is yours: remove the story, the post or the whole account, or turn on the private setting. Once it is no longer public, Dumpor drops it, again within the hour.
  • If you own the rights: file a report in Instagram’s app, or through the rights-holder form Instagram offers.

Filing a claim with us

Claims about copyright receive a response within 48 hours of arrival. Send them to contact@dumpor.org with “DMCA” as part of the subject. Please include:

  • which work of yours you consider infringed;
  • the exact link where it shows up;
  • a way to reach you;
  • your good-faith view that nobody authorised this use;
  • a signed declaration that everything in the claim is true, made knowing a false one counts as perjury, and that the copyright is yours or its holder has empowered you to act.

A claim with a gap is not rejected; we write back and request the missing part.

What we take down on our side

Wording, graphics and layout created for dumpor.org belong to the site, so we can edit them. Following a valid claim about that material, we correct it or remove it and let you know by email. A claim that concerns Instagram media receives an answer explaining the two routes above. Believe a removal was a mistake? Email a counter-claim stating who you are and why, and it is passed along to the first claimant.
