Reporting a search that failed
Mention the handle and the tab, then describe the expected screen next to the actual one. Copy the error wording word for word if there was one; a screenshot makes it clearer still. Never include a password or an identity document, since no request on this site depends on either.
Waiting for an answer
Claims about copyright or removal are answered in 48 hours or less, and the removal page spells out what such a claim should contain. Everything else is usually answered in one or two business days.
Problems we cannot solve
- Unlocking, recovering or securing an Instagram profile you no longer control.
- Getting past the privacy setting of a profile, or any other limit its owner chose.
- Listing the viewers of your stories. Instagram alone holds that record.
- Recovering a story after its day is over, or a post once its author removed it.
Trouble with an Instagram profile as such is handled by Instagram, via its own help centre.
